How to Sign-Up and download HBO Max on VIZIO Smart TV
- Go here to sign up for HBO Max.
- After you’ve signed up then go on to your Home Screen on your Smart TV from VIZIO.
- Start the app store, and look in the app store for “HBO Max” on your VIZIO Smart TV.
- Choose “Add the Home” to download the application.
- Once you have installed the software, sign in to the system with Your HBO Max credentials.

HBO Max is now available on Vizio SmartCast TVs. This means customers will no longer need recourse to cast solutions to get access to this streaming platform.
In the past, prior to this announcement Vizio TVs did not have the native application that is part of SmartCast Vizio’s smart TV interface. Instead, they’d need to stream the content to their televisions with Apple AirPlay or by casting using Google. The integration of direct access to HBO Max in the menu for apps will enable users to access HBO Max far more intuitively for SmartCast users.
To celebrate the debut of HBO Max on set, Vizio will also introduce an exclusive carousel on the home screen to show HBO Max’s new teaser freebies. HBO Max no longer offers trial-based trials, however, it has recently announced a small selection of pilot episodes from greater than 12 episodes of the most popular shows, which can be streamed on the app without having to pay for the HBO Max subscription. Vizio customers can access these teasers that rotate directly through their Vizio carousel.
The launch of HBO Max on the Vizio platform is more than a year following the launch of the streaming service. The service also comes at the same time that HBO Max has widened its distribution reach over the past few months, most recently being available in LG smart TVs, as along as Dish well as Spectrum TV.
